I’m a Seattle based UX leader with an extensive background in UX Design, Research and Strategy. In my 25+ years of experience, I’ve had the pleasure of designing and leading projects with top companies like NASA, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Meta, Apple, USAA, Boeing, and Starbucks.

About
I have been designing digital experiences for over 25 years and am currently serving as Head of Design for Blink. This role includes both Design Leadership (managing and developing people), as well as large-scale UX project and client management (consulting).

My very first web design job was as the Design Director for Microsoft.com circa 1998. At the time it was the 3rd most visited site on the internet. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, but nobody did.
Over the years, I have been fortunate to collaborate with many wonderful folks on a lot of great projects.
Most important: NASA redesign and design system
Most complex: USAA Risk and Compliance ecosystem (19 interoperable applications) built on 4 different technology platforms
Most gratifying: Art with Heart - digital transformation
Most fun: Jimmy Buffett albums and websites
Most surprising: Pilot Flying J truck stops - service design innovation for trucking industry. I learned a lot about trucking and shipping - we did a fair amount of field work interviewing truckers, and we built a prototype gas pump in the Lab (with foam core board and an iPad) to test “friction free” fueling. It was a very innovative forward thinking client and really rewarding for the team to be able to collaborate so closely with Design and Research
